Gender-based violence, including financial abuse, often undermines economic security, making it more difficult for survivors to navigate legal systems or access safe housing, employment, food, healthcare, and other things necessary for safety and stability. Additionally, economic insecurity is a risk factor that results in increased vulnerability to relationship abuse, sexual violence, and trafficking, as well as harassment and abuse in the workplace.

Join us for this virtual convening where we will highlight strategies to help survivors obtain economic security, explore relevant policies and funding opportunities, address sexual harassment and GBV in the workplace, and strengthen communities of practice to address these critical issues.

Speakers include:

  • Shawndell Dawson, CEO, Dawson Visionary Enterprises & the Advocates Paying Advocates Marketplace
  • Carolyne Ouya, Director of Workforce Programs, Futures Without Violence
  • Erika Sussman, Executive Director, Center for Survivor Agency and Justice
  • Tannia Ventura, VP of Mission Delivery, Free From
